Bands on the Beach: Wester
This Pensacola Beach, Florida-raised sister-brother country music team owes its timing to the pandemic. Nashville veteran of the all-gal band Rhinestone and ace songwriter-performer Pearl Clarkin always wanted to play music with her bro and Randy Travis look-alike, Rafe. Well, the 2020 downtime brought the two together, and these days, they are riding their own “Redneck Rollercoaster” – which also happens to be the name of their first single.
Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s outdoor concert series featuring popular and up-and-coming regional artists. Folks are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets (but no pets or glass containers!) and grab a spot around the Casino Beach Gulfside Pavilion. The gorgeous location overlooks the Gulf, right near the iconic beach ball water tower.
