An Evening with Louisiana Author Elizabeth Williams
Red Stick Reads welcomes local author, Elizabeth Williams to share her new book, Nana’s Creole Italian Table. In addition to authoring several books, she’s also the founder of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum in New Orleans and host of the weekly podcast, Tip of the Tongue.
In her newest book, Williams blends the two great food traditions in her life: New Orleans and Sicily. She’s written a cookbook that not only shares some of her families’ traditional Sicilian recipes but also her families’ story of immigration and how these recipes changed and evolved as a result of the Creole influences from their new Louisiana home.
This is a free, outside, all-ages event featuring light refreshments and snacks. The shop owners may even have a few surprises for the crowd, once they try a few of the recipes out.
