An Evening with Louisiana Author Elizabeth Williams

Red Stick Reads welcomes local author, Elizabeth Williams to share her new book, Nanaโ€™s Creole Italian Table. In addition to authoring several books, she’s also the founder of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum in New Orleans and host of the weekly podcast, Tip of the Tongue.

In her newest book, Williams blends the two great food traditions in her life: New Orleans and Sicily. She’s written a cookbook that not only shares some of her familiesโ€™ traditional Sicilian recipes but also her familiesโ€™ story of immigration and how these recipes changed and evolved as a result of the Creole influences from their new Louisiana home.

This is a free, outside, all-ages event featuring light refreshments and snacks. The shop owners may even have a few surprises for the crowd, once they try a few of the recipes out.
