A Taste of the Deep South
A Taste of the Deep South Festival (part of Henry Turner Jr. Day) features various genres of music: blues, R&B, Spoken Word, jazz, Latin, Americana, and more. The festival celebrates the rich culture of the south through food and music.
Blues great Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and SmokeHouse Porter and Miss Mamie, along with Listening Room All-Stars Kelton ’Npsire Harper and the Inspiration Band, and more will perform. Other acts from Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Nebraska as well as international cultural dancers from the area also will appear. Lawn seating; BYO chairs.
Don’t miss the vendor’s village with arts & crafts, clothing, jewelry, and Food Court with southern festival food favorites.
The event is family friendly and free to the public.
