Spring Fling at Gulf Coast Bird Observatory
Now here’s something to tweet about: Twice a year, millions of birds travel thousands of miles to migrate between breeding and wintering grounds, stopping in route to refuel at coastal stopovers. Local and out-of-town birders descend upon stopover sites throughout the migration corridor along the Gulf Coast.
Gulf Coast Bird Observatory volunteers and staff offer local birding info, bird checklists, and post the daily bird list on the white board, and help identify birds during this month-long birdy fest.
