Houston Brazilian Carnival Parade
Hey, y’all! Divirta-se! Samba Houston, in partnership with the Brazilian Women Foundation and Houston Latin Fest, and the support of the Consulate-General of Brazil in Houston, will host a Brazilian Carnival Parade to celebrate the 200 years of Independence of Brazil. This year’s parade theme: The City of Houston and Samba Houston in the Space City.
The parade will be divided into sections called ‘alas’ or wings that represent different aspects of the city, with each wing consisting of approximately 30 members or more wearing the same costume.
There are three ways to join in the fun! Spectate (free), participate (by the time you read this, there may still be time to register), and or go see the Houston Dynamo futbol match after the parade! Minors welcome if accompanied by an adult.
