Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival 2022

Galveston Island is a seafood lover’s paradise all year round. But come September, Yaga’s Entertainment brings foodies a little extra taste of heaven at the Galveston Island Shrimp Festival. Come celebrate Galveston’s great wild seafood and island lifestyle in the island’s Historic Strand District. Check out the gumbo cookoff, a shrimp gumbo tasting, a boat show, live music, a kids’ fish tourney, official 5K, and don’t miss Saturday afternoon’s Li’l Shrimps Parade!

General admission is free, with upgrades available for specific events (get a cup for the Gumbo Stroll). A portion of the proceeds benefits UTMB and Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County.
